Dr. C.V. Raman University bags the World Education Award 2016

Bilapur-based Dr. CV Raman University (CVRU) has bagged the acclaimed World Education Award 2016 that was held recently in Dubai. CVRU, which was launched by the AISECT Group in 2006 as Central India’s first private university, has won the award for the ‘Best and Next Practices in Open and Distance Learning’ category. Mr. Abhishek Pandit (Governing Body Member, Dr. C.V. Raman University) received the award from Dr. Ayoub Kazim (Managing Director, Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City) and Mr. V. Radhakrishnan (State Minister of Education, Sri Lanka). World Education Summit (WES), organized by Elets Technomedia, is the world’s premier platform on education for everyone who is passionate about education and learning. Over the years, the Summit has become the largest gathering of education leaders. WES 2016 aimed to recognize, highlight, honour and encourage leading models, projects, processes of excellence and sustainable innovation in school and higher education. The Awards, which were a part of the Summit, saw entrepreneurs in the education space getting recognized, giving the award winners a platform to showcase their innovations and best practices. There were 70 award nominations across 40 categories.
